What does Olaplex do? 

But what does Olaplex actually do? Here's the fancy science part. 

Olaplex is not like other hair treatments. While other hair care brands simply smooth over the problem, the Olaplex formula actually repairs the damage using its unique patented ingredient Bis-aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. This works at a molecular level to restore your hair. In fact, it is the only patented bond builder in the beauty world. 

Basically, excessive stress and styling factors can break the strong disulfide bonds in hair. These bonds are necessary for a healthy-looking "click". The breakdown of these bonds creates a single sulfur-hydrogen bond that can pair with three oxygen molecules. If this happens, it produces cysteic acid which can consume your hair's protein. This is bad news for our beautiful hair! 

So, what Olaplex does is quickly pair with the single sulfur-hydrogen bond to re-link the bonds and recreate healthy disulfide bonds.

How to use: Apply No. 0 to dry hair and comb to cover the entire head. Let sit for 10 minutes, then add No.3 Hair Perfector on top and let sit for another 10 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly and follow with shampoo and conditioner.

Olaplex No.4 Bond MAINTENANCE SHAMPOO
